The New BMW 3 Series
(316i)

BMW 3 Series

Well, it has finally arrived and has been well worth the wait. The 1st time I saw it I was a bit unsure but it is a lot better than the old "square-cut" 3-series. It is just as good as the 5-series in quality and productivity, except for space of course.

It has only increased in beauty and the new "curved" image is now even more pleasing to the eye. There's no mistaking authentic style. The curving lines of the headlights, the high-set indicators and elegantly shaped high-beam lights, makes it unmistakingly a BMW. It has a sleek front-end that has a sleek front grille perfectly matching the very-detailed headlights. They have done away with lines and introduced curves. This is just what it needed to keep up with the competition of Audi and Mercedes. Its handling and ride is great, but not the sportiest in the class.

The interior is nicely sculpted, and is fully customisable the driver. The interior is as usual very classy and makes you feel right at home. It is not massive but surprisingly spacious considering its size. Plenty of legroom in the front, but the back is quite cramped.

The 316i has 105bhp, but not great at 0-62mph in around 12sec. It starts at 25,360 for the 316i which is pretty steep, but reasonable. Top speed is 125mph which is good when compared to its rivals and will give you around 36.2mpg

We all thought that the job BMW done on the old 3-Series was so good that it would be irreplaceable, but im glad to admit this BMW has done just the job. I'm sure it will again, be a bestseller.
