The New Fiat Multipla
(100 1.6 16v)

Fiat Multipla

When I saw this new mpv, I along with a group of people looking at the car pointed and laughed, at fiats new creation. But its outrageous awful styling is more than make up for in its great driving and its practicality.

Its design, I believe is awful called "innovative" by Fiat, yet everyone who looks at it just cant get used to it. The position of the petrol cap and fog lights, on this "bump" on top of the bonnet is an awful idea. It drives like a dream and the multipla is excellent as accelerating. It is very quietly too, and the gearshift, which is mounted on the centre console, is superb. Again, with its knob being higher up than usual it would take little getting used to. It is very wide and has been described as driving, believe it or not as "FUN"

Despite this it is a very spacious car, and is as comfortable as a luxury car, with many well thought-out features, not least that it holds six people in big seats. You can't complain about space in this car, because the seats uniquely offer a lot of configurations and can even be folded flat and used as tables with integrated cup holders. Well you just cannot complain about that now.

It has a 1.6 130bhp 16v engine with a twin overhead cam timing system driven, which is very kind to the environment and will even give you around an unbelievable 32mpg. Its starting price tag is 15,500.

This car takes some getting used to, but after all the main focus of this car is "absolute practility" which I think the multipla reaches well. It may have been laughed at, but once you get used to it is a very practical option.
